Eighteen years ago, I was two weeks away from my eighteenth birthday.
My parents were not thrilled, but were coping with the fact that their baby girl was growing up.
My friends were a little worried and concerned-- and some were pretty freaked out!
Me? I was TOTALLY in love!
And while I was not nearly as mature as I thought I was,
I was excited to be eternally sealed to my One True Love.
And I still knew I was doing the right thing!

I will admit to being one of the concerned friends! I knew where I was at that time concerning marriage and I thought you were nuts! I knew you were happy though so that's what mattered! Glad to see you are still so happy! Congrats on 18 years!

ReplyDeleteI was married 6 months AFTER I turned 18... not nearly as gutsy as you. ;) Although... we only dated for 4 months from first date to marriage, so I guess I was pretty gutsy, too. :D We've been married 21 years now. Congratulations to you!!!! :D
