Eighteen Years

Eighteen years ago, I was two weeks away from my eighteenth birthday.

My parents were not thrilled, but were coping with the fact that their baby girl was growing up.

My friends were a little worried and concerned-- and some were pretty freaked out!

Me? I was TOTALLY in love!

And while I was not nearly as mature as I thought I was,

I was excited to be eternally sealed to my One True Love.

And I still knew I was doing the right thing!

Thank you, Russell, for eighteen wonderful and adventurous years!

I love you!

  1. So sweet! You are still gorgeous!

  2. Congrats! That's awesome!

  3. Congrats!!

That means that you and I are almost the same age, although I only celebrated my 13th anniversary yesterday. :)

  4. I will admit to being one of the concerned friends! I knew where I was at that time concerning marriage and I thought you were nuts! I knew you were happy though so that's what mattered! Glad to see you are still so happy! Congrats on 18 years!

  5. oh, and I will do this comment seperate in case you don't want it on! :) I just remember your wedding shower and we decided to go get lottery tickets and the only person who wasn't old enough to buy one was you!!!!! won't ever forget it.

  6. Congratulations! You guys make a beautiful couple...then and now!

  7. Congratulations! I'm so excited because I didn't think that anyone else had ever gotten married in the temple two weeks before their eighteenth birthday! I just read your post on LDH and I want to "talk" to you about TJED. My blog is (I was the guest writer who posted "More Than I Am"

  8. WOW! So, you were married two weeks BEFORE you turned 18? Am I getting this right? You had guts! LOL

I was married 6 months AFTER I turned 18... not nearly as gutsy as you. ;) Although... we only dated for 4 months from first date to marriage, so I guess I was pretty gutsy, too. :D We've been married 21 years now. Congratulations to you!!!! :D
